Field of Greens is a five-acre farm on the western end of the town of Sonoma. We believe that our eggs are so good because of the care we take with the hens that lay them. They are free to roam outside in the Sonoma sunshine throughout the day. We believe that people should know where their food comes from and invite you to come see our farm anytime.
Located at the former R&D farm of Nicholas Turkey FOG is now home to Sonoma’s happiest chickens. We have no cages; our hens are allowed free choice of food, water, and indoor/outdoor access. At night they are moved inside their barns for protection from predators. Our chickens are fed no growth hormones, antibiotics or additives, just the best feed available from Hunt & Behrens Feed Mill from Petaluma.
Sonoma Field of Greens
Home to Sonoma's Happiest Chickens
Our eggs are collected by hand every morning, washed, graded, and refrigerated before being packed for shipping to our customers. We supply our eggs to many local restaurants and markets, but we will not allow anyone to re-sell our eggs, without first coming out to the farm to see how happy our chickens really are. We also sell our eggs fresh off the farm, seven days a week, to anyone who wants to come out to visit.
Farm Fresh Eggs
All Year Long
We offer white, brown, and blue eggs, which are laid by our Leghorn, Rhode Island Red, and Ameraucana Chickens, respectively. We offer a wide variety of sizes from Jumbo double yolks, down to pullets, which are smallest eggs from the youngest of hens. We are regularly visited by the County Agricultural Commissioner, and have never failed an inspection.
